One of the best ways to help raise awareness of breast cancer issues is to help raise money for local groups focused on helping breast cancer victims and funding breast cancer research. Creating embroidered breast cancer shirts, screen printed breast cancer t shirts and other printed items and selling them with a portion of the proceeds going to a local fundraising drive is a great way to get involved with the community and position your brand in a positive way. Breast cancer is one of the most prolific killers of women in the US, and awareness of the disease is something every business can help participate in by creating embroidered or screen printed products to help raise awareness.

Pink has become the official color of breast cancer awareness, so creating products you can sell and even give away in support of the cause is simple. Pink totes or bags can be easily printed with your company name, motto or slogan. Other pink items such as caps, hats, cups, can cozies, pens, pencils, lanyards and key-rings can also be professionally screen-printed, embroidered, or stamped with your business logo or name.

You can promote these items as “giveaways” for a suggested donation, or include them as a bonus with any purchase over a certain amount. For example:

  • $5.00-$9.99 purchase — free printed pen or pencil or stamped bracelet
  • $10.00-$29.99 purchase — free printed lanyard or printed cup
  • $30.00-$89.99 purchase — free embroidered cap or stamped keyring
  • $90.00-$149.99 purchase — free screen-printed shirt or tote
  • $150 and up purchase — free screen-printed tote filled with one each of all other items

You can also set a donation amount for the items individually, such as $1 for a pen or pencil, $5 for a cup, $10 for a cap or $15 for a shirt or tote. The money can be funneled directly into your chosen charity’s fundraising effort, and you will have built goodwill in the community while spreading visibility of your own brand in a meaningful way.

If your company makes an appearance at a local event for breast cancer awareness, or any event where a free giveaway is appropriate, the smaller value items can be given away freely. Have each staff member at the event wear a screen-printed shirt and embroidered cap, and encourage donations which can be handed over to the charity you are supporting.

Don’t forget to market to men as well! Real men wear pink, and while only roughly 2,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, nearly every women who will be diagnosed has one or more men in her life ready and willing to support her and the search for a cure. You company can help with embroidered and screen printed products designed to raise awareness and benefit charities devoted to the cause!
